(Cleveland) - Cleveland knows a little something about losing something they love. A former area mainstay though says don't make comparisons with LeBron James and the Cleveland Browns.
Art Modell, the former owner of the Cleveland Browns, who took the team to Baltimore in the mid-90s, spoke with the Mike Trivisonno show Thursday afternoon about LeBron James. James, of course, announced Thursday night that he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat.
Modell says that while people will make the comparison of the browns leaving to LeBron leaving, saying "you can't equate the two" given the difference in situations.
He adds that Cleveland fans are the best fans anywhere in any sports, and that he feels for Cavs owner Dan Gilbert since the Cavs will be left high and dry with LeBron skipping town.
