Dr. Furman received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University Medical School in Saratov, U.S.S.R. After completing his internship and residency, he moved to Isreal where he became the attending physician at the Telshomer Hospital in Tel Aviv. Dr. Furman is board certified in OB/GYN in Israel.

When Dr. Furman moved to the United States, he conducted endocrinology research at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at the Los Angeles County /University of Southern California Medical Center. He joined the Arroyo Seco medical staff in 1993.

Dr. Furman has an open and enthusiastic style, and he encourages honest communication with patients and their families. His personal interests include political philosophy, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife.
